Introduction
TV, Radio, trade mag, national daily or web stream -we show you how!
Media Training is about helping you formulate and deliver key messages to all target audiences (where ever they are), at a sensible price but now you need to make the new technology work for you as well. Multi platform media convergence! It’s the phrase of the age. It means when you do an interview with a daily paper, the reporter may have a camera and record it for their website. Or you drop in for a chat at a radio station and find you are being ‘streamed’ live on the internet via a webcam you hardly noticed. The old demarcation has gone. Now every interview in the Digital Age means you are in ‘show business’ and it lives forever more. So you can see why you need the very best advice available.
Requirements
Normally we will come to your offices with a camera crew. But first we need to talk!
A week before the course one of us will contact you to discuss the content for the day. We have to have something to interview you about. We like press cuttings, short CV's (biogs) of everybody taking part, position statements, even DVD's of previous interviews - good and bad. In fact send anything to help us develop a tailored course. If you are not sure what to send us, more is better! But we can advise you on what is really necessary. On the training day we will need a Big room, to hold everyone comfortably, plus a flip chart and a projector (with a usb or serial pc connector). Sometimes its good to create a dedicated studio nearby, so an adjacent room is ideal to keep cabling to a minimum. We bring everything else and normally need about 45 minutes to set up our lights, cameras etc. So there have to be suitable and convenient power points. Crew Van parking is a problem so if there is on-site parking, can we have a bay please? On longer trips, you might like to help us by booking hotels and transportation.
